BIO

Ben Garcia is an active member of the clarinet community, being an advocate for new works while revitalizing old ones. He has published several books which have positively impacted clarinetists worldwide by re-discovering works that were thought to be lost. He has worked with and coached clarinetists all over the world including New York, Chicago, Zurich, Amsterdam and Dresden. His research in music education has led to new and faster methods for learning music as his students have achieved great feats in relatively little time. He is currently researching manuscripts of favored works for clarinet including the Mozart “Clarinet Concerto”, Stravinsky’s “Three Pieces” and all clarinet works by von Weber. The manuscripts are located in Winterthur, Switzerland where he visits bi-annually.
